The trouble with ITV
Richard G Elen writes on why ITV 1 needs to pull its socks up. He says that multi channel options are not the only threat, but the lack of imaginitive ideas.

Propeller TV
Its mission is to:

"air high-quality programming, to inspire people to achieve and contribute, to propel new talent to break new ground,  to support career development in film and television making, to show the best, share the best and be the best".

Propeller is attractive to new directors because it is seen on Sky - great for the CV.

ITV Local
This is one of the clearest, practical and most understandable web TV propositions (in my view). It offers a complete local information service - not just video but information about local services, people, events,  news and so on. Not even the BBC has managed to pull together a local web service which is as good as this.

Current TV
This is an American based broadband service which is based on viewer generated content. Current is also available on cable and satellite TV as a conventional TV channel. It includes turorials on video making. I have heard that Current TV is in the UK looking to build bridges into communities here.

This is a rich store of BBC wisdom from the people who are experts on editorial issues.

Forbidden Technologies
High end post production - in my encounters with it - has existed in an exclusive world along the lanes and alley-ways of London's Soho. Fluffy sofas and coffee delivered by eager runners. You book a suite, an editor and settle in until the job is finished.  However, Forbidden Technologies is saying that your editing can take place anywhere in the world and that geographical boundaries need not be an obstacle to creative collaboration.
